Title:

Anarchist Bloc at US Capitol

The anti-war anarchist movement has stepped it up again. This time pushing US liberals to take the capitol steps in a recent anti-war mobilization. As well as the capitol steps, a fox news truck and a military recruiting station were vandalized by protesters.

    @Gettinghitonattheban

    The Bolsheviks during Lenin’s reign did not oppress the anarchists. Trotsky discussed it in a speech he made, that Anarchists were not, and should not be imprisoned soley for their ideals. They were comrades. However, many criminals, Trotsky called them pseudoanarchists, merely professed solidarity to anarchism in prison or after their release.

    I’m not going to excuse the authoritarianism of Leninism, or the Bolsheviks, because I am neither a Leninist or a Trotskyist.

    Except when the Bolsheviks turned against the anarchist like the Authoritarian pricks they were.

    However, many other anarchists are Pacifists, any only respect civil disobedience. Similarly, other anarchist (more connected to Mutualism) see property as an extension of the self. Therefore, harming property is harming a person. Then again exceptions are made for limited liability corporations.

    There are many thoughts on violence in terms of revolution in Anarchism ranging in a large spectrum. Many Syndicalist do not see the destruction of property as violent, and would harm another person, except in issues of protecting themselves from the Fascist Neo Nazi’s, who in Europe see them as enemy number one, as well as from cops.

    Being a former anarchist, no they do not.

    They believe in violent revolution. But not violence and destruction in an unorganized way.

    @robbypyn

    Actually, violent revolutions have changed things. Most times for the better. The USSR is a prime example.

    @6ch6ris6 I think Gandhi proved very clearly that non-violence can easily beat a violent system, not really sure where your argument comes from.

    @Propagandhi900 no violent revolution has ever really changed anything, the oppressed become the oppressors and the cycle starts over again. non-violent civil disobedience is much more effective, but you need not take my word for it, just take a long hard look at history, anyone’s version of history, and you the pattern becomes clear.

    @robbypyn

    Who said anything about killing cops or politicians?

    Violence can be used to oppress. I agree.

    HOWEVER, violence can be used to STOP oppression.

    A violent revolution is necessary. There is no peaceful way to achieve and maintain socialism.

    I’m sorry, but those killed defending capitalism against us communists who will fight for it’s demise is nothing to the millions worldwide who die as a result of the capitalist system still being in place.

    @Propagandhi900 violence is oppression, every cop you kill has a family that will seek revenge, every capitalist pig, every politician, all have children that will grow up remembering who killed their parents and what they stood for. As the band who your name is taken from points out about violence, “who’s will would that represent? mine or the rank and file or better yet, the government? but I dont want to catalyze or synthesize the second final solution.”

    @Propagandhi900 agreed, but things don’t have to start with a violent manner, other than the practical denial of capitalist and hierarchical structures and norms. as durruti had said, the new world will be built within the old world’s shell! of course when state mechanisms counter attack, anarchists don’t have, and must not, to be peaceful sheep but weary wolves! solidarity from greece (A)

    @krabbcake I agree 100%.

    I believe in violent revolution. I believe in using violent force to protect the society that the workers fought for.

    @Propagandhi900 I agree with you, but what happens if state repression strikes us? won’t anarchists fight back? remember that in spain, anarchist workers were very militant in defending the republic and themselves against the fascist pronunciamento… and they didnt take up arms against their democratic “allies” up until the point they were attacked…

    See peaceful anarchist.
    to many dumb asses this is a contridiction
    Like propagandhi900 said anarchy=nonviolence
    But too many people use the term anarchist as a reason to cause havoc its fuckin pointless to cause destruction. No one will ever achieve anything through violence

    I was there-what a battle! The Capitol Police tried to make a stand at 3ed Street, but could not stand against those Roman Army style shields, a 700 strong Bloc-and possibly 1/2 MILLION mainstream protesters who could see everything. We pounded them all the way to the very doors of the US Capitol and people left their mark-literally. I laughed my ass off when some GOP swine called for an investigation> Why is it nobody steps it up like this TODAY???

    @27thepusher -You’re very correct. Great sentiment. War is atrocious, but as long as my country is at war, no matter what the causes, rationale or goal, we have kids dying for what they believe in, so you have the ABILITY to ‘resist’ Through millennia of the same solid ideology & determination as our troops show now!
    They don’t need to know of discord, hatred, & bullshit, as they are ducking for cover, using their dead friends if need be, as a shield! They’ve the fucking right to NOT hear your.

    @121Bollox This shit is bigger then racism and who you represent! And its bigger then what class you’re from. Damn wake up! There are some evil plans in the works and if there is no resistance then you’re gonna hate life in the future!
    There shouldn’t even be a fucking war! War is terrorism! Aint no better then religious extremists.

    Some middle-upper-class, yank, rich-kids, with too much time on their hands, probably all college or uni students. backed up by their ’60/70′s hippy-chick parents… received a ”’warning”’ that it MAY come to DRAFTING troops into an army if the ‘lower-classes’ wouldn’t enlist, & that meant ‘lil precious’, going to a WARZONE!
    By ‘lower-classes’, include blacks, cos most whites in the US don’t care a fuck about racism, if they did, they’d demonstarte in harlem, Compton, etc, with their ‘bro’s'!
