@arvydas0069 haha do not kid yourself, you should have gone to real school where you would have been challenged. I do not see too many Harvard and MIT accepted freshmen wondering if they should not go to their first semester but go and join the military. Education is something you never regret, in your case you went the wrong way with that one. Unfortunately, the military is for poorer kids and they pursue those individuals. This promotes a detrimental disparity that gives dissent to our troops.
About 2/3 of the recruiters out there are told that they will recruit. It is a posistion that you recieve and do for a certain time frame. It is another step for them in their career. Just like drill sargents. They dont yell because they dont like you , they yell cause it is part of the job. There isnt a personal agenda or a government conspiracy here.
School- a private school is just that. Private. A public school is payed ofr by tax dollars. That is why no recruiter goes to private schools.
If you dont like what the military has to offer dont go and waste their time. Recruiters are alwasy gettign guys that dont show up and once you sign a certain document then you are required to show up and serve. The first paper I signed wasnt a binding contract . My recruiter told me this.
Now , I am not saying there isnt recruiters out there lying but most do their job right and keep it real. Remember , recruiters are people with a career and arent in this for the governments favor……..
When you join you are told what your job will be. It is in your contract. Your contract also tells you when your ETS(date outta the army) is too. The contract also says the stuff about 8 years. If recruits would just read the contract like the recruiter tells them to then they would know. But most guys are tired of reading by that time comes and just skim over all the details.
I am in the army and have been for 9 years now and I have re-enlisted 2 times now. I read everything.
I went into the Military because college was too easy and boring…I wanted to diversify my experienvce and finish college later which I did. I put me far ahead of my peers
I say silly because I hear that all the time. “Bush aint sending his girls to the military!” Well my parents didnt send me either. Its an individual desicion to serve or not serve. If the bush girls wanted to they would have and that has nothing to do with GW. Now the Palin and Bidens boys could do anything but choose to serve. Some people believe that if you join for 1 job you will just be sent to Iraq as infantry. Look at it like this an army vetanarian isnt trained in advanced infantry tactics and an infatryman isnt trained to be a Vet. So how could either do the others job? Its just common sense. No with that being said ever soldier does get training on how to defend themselves if need be. Oh and stop loss/ stop move orders apply to deploying units until they finish there deployment then its lifted

A person that joins the military is obligated to the military for 8 consecutive yrs no matter if they just joined for 2 and they are told this b4 enlistment. After that 8 yrs is up they are not subject to a recall or stop loss. Bush’s daughters thats silly. What about Palin and Biden’s son’s enlisting for infantry. Yep they picked that job.

“Cowards” Thats just my opinion. It means nothing because who am I? All I want is for enlistees to held accountable for their decision. Currently you can opt out B4 you go to training with no recourse. There should be a penalty imposed for that. Maybe a 5yr disqulification from federal service. Its realistc because if they dont want to be in they should waste or time. This happens all the time and the kids come right back and join again months later. We get held accountable so should they.
Dude what I mean by all is schools is ALL federally funded schools secondary and post secondary due to the No Child Left Behind Act we have the same right to recruit in school as a college or employer that recruits. The area where those two kids joined is notorious for poverty and violence the Army was a way out for those two. Marquette was absolutely wrong with his methods and that does not reflect upon the rest of us. They should do a follow up with those two in 3 yrs and see the result.
Honestly I would just like to spread some education on the subject. That recruiter should be punished for breaking the code of ethics but. Those kids & anyone else that joins the military & backs out shouldnt be able to do so with no penalty. They should be disqualified for federal service for a period of years if the join & then back out. Just a thought for you. College is a business that wants your money the army wants to give you money & you pick what job you and how long you do it for us.
Wow you are a smart guy you caught a tipo or is it typo hmmm oh well. I will make sure I’m clear for you. I have friends that went to college. I did not. I have a steady pay check twice a month and made 76K last year doing accounting in the army. (what I always wanted to do) they are unemployed or make less than 45k per year and none are doing want they want to do and are in debt from tuition costs. Thats the truth. I retire in 12 years for sure at 38 years old. What about you?

Our teacher are the Nazi idiots selling our kids’s Info to the military its called the “NO child LEFT behind ACT”! I found a few in our springfield schools! Their banning of flags and common gang symbols was designed to punish and hinder our childrens education and rights! I say we all start to sue these dips, they play smart when it comes to war, they play stupid when it comes to truth!!
In eastern Germany during socialism the recruiters also came into schools to harass students into volunteering. Fortunatly for them, the Volksarmee never fought a war.
