Question by Jayce: Army weight requirements?
When I went into the Army’s recruiting office, they through out weight because of my height, would the Air Force do the same?

well probably only because they need a certain weight for you to beable to be on the jet planes cause they are so small u know

    Yes. Height to weight ratio is very important in any branch of the military.

    It makes sense that the Army would because they can tell whether or not you’ll make the tape test. Thats what really matters, even if you didn’t make weight but your skinny looking enough that they can tell you’d pass getting measured then your fine but the AF doesn’t do that. They only go by your weight so they’re not going to throw that factor out considering its basically the only one, besides your ASVAB. You have to have a higher score on the ASVAB for the AF than you do for the Army.

    the army doesnt have hight and weight restrictions. they have changed. if you are “under wiehgt” they give you a blood test. provided that you can give them a blood test that says,

    you are of good health,
    have not done drugs,
    are well nurished,
    and that you have a high metabolic rate which causes you to have difficulties gaining weight,

    they will accept you becuase you are of perfect health, just skinny. asuming you can carry the pack, wepaons, and other gear.
