I love the USAR! We train hard our mission is to support the active soldiers in time of war. It is no longer drill but Battle Assembly. We are the highest percentage of soldiers deployed. It is an honor to be blessed to be able to serve our country and be apart of our country. Thank you Army :) Hooah

Yes you either go AGR or active duty if you want more money and full benefits. I have yet to see civilian employment even come near what the active duty component has to offer.

@kayleigh7908 uhm…you must be in some really shitty unit, i’ve only done 2 day months since i got outta training, with no intention of leaving any time soon…maybe you should file a 638 (or 368 forgot which form) and start RST’ing in other units if yours is sooooo bad…you people need to be more informed before you critisize your employers and my army.

@marcusos1111 what are you talking about, its against federal law for them to fire you for miltary leave, and yeah you get 250 a month, but its for 2 days of work which isnt REALLY that bad considering that, at least in my unit we do nothing but train and i personally have fun doing it…if you want more money sign up for training, or go AGR…dumbass.

fuck that they forgot to mention that your employer wont wait for you or that you be getting 250 a month LOL

@afterray Well then, if no one in America would need a gun we’d typing German now, wouldn’t we. We tried peaceful tactics before WW1, they failed. We tried peacful tactics before WW2, they failed. If you want to run over to Afghanistan and tell the taliban to stop being terrorists, go ahead. I’ll make sure a herse will be at the airport waiting for you. Or if you want to go to Israel and tell them to give Palestine their land back, please go ahead. I’m not german. I’m 100% American.

@Germany124 first of all. i don’t deed a gun nor a grenade. i’m a peaceful, reasonable person with a brain. second. you calling me a “pussy” makes me wonder if you speak to your kids / mother / father / sister etc., like that.

@sausaage123 “drama queen” poor thought. perhaps “drama” reality.
“let others make their own decision.” true. however, i’m only commenting about the reality, and that’s what the promotion does not show.
wow! if i join, it will transform me into a “real” man / women and my parents and children will be proud of me. is this logic or twisted emotions?
PTSD, PTSD, PTSD is threatening to the self and ones family…and, who likes to be a trained killer in the name of christ? (something is wrong)

@afterray mate stop being such a drama queen, if it’s not for you then that’s good for you- let others make their own decision.

@unknownsoldier123 i rather be blessed with “ignorance” THEN come back from an unjustified war to my wife / kids WITHOUT an arm / leg or an ear. true, “ignorance” is better then having a strong, vivid, permanent MEMORIES of decaying body parts of innocent children. true, “ignorance” is better then becoming a drug addict / alcoholic. true, “ignorance” is better then having PDST.

i’m an educated american that realizes the pity of war…i hope that you don’t come back to your family in a box…

if a four year old saw this advertisement, it will be overstimulating. if a teenager saw it, he / she would probably say : ” wow!, i can’t wait to ask my stupid parents about joining.”
the mentally disturb will be imbued and wit with this media and jump up and down.
anyone with a functional cognitive will immediately SEE the REALITY of this promotion and either laugh at it, or inform their children about this crap.
a good education is enough. NOT, NOT a post dramatic stress DISORDER…

@LaFinaYoungGun well the national guard stays at home while the reserve risks thier live trying to save a foriegn country so the guard is sort of stay home soldiers.

  19. Hawkins1117
    December 12th, 2010 at 21:10 | #19

@LaFinaYoungGun the guard is usually stationed around the country to guard. the reserve you can be on a base but you don’t have to be and you are reserve. so the military can just say, your getting deployed. pretty self explanitory

@zillaxy I guess we all have to make assumptions because they are such an internal nation.
I remember studying them at University briefly as part of my International Relations and the Cold War came into it.
I think they are powerful in terms of potential, just like the Chinese were in the 1960′s.
They are a developing nation, and soon, I believe the East will be far more powerful than the West.
Good to see that you know you’re stuff though ;)

    @Spootmaker
Disagree despite my respect for Russia.
They have large amounts of resources but are completely failing to develop internal infrastructure and industries unlike their Chinese, Indian & Brazilian counterparts. After the gas incident with Ukraine over 2 years ago, most of Europe is looking elsewhere for energy bcoz there is too much chest pounding from Russia. The energy advantage will remain for a while but if they carry on like this, they won’t merit their inclusion in BRIC

@THRILLHOUSE85 I couldn’t have said that better myself dude. Sure, we yanks did help, thus on and so forth, and in the Pacific, the involvement of the Australian government and it’s military may as well been squat since if anything…
Back to the point, the world would be a lot different if the Soviet Union did not enter.

    @norcofoxrider
I don’t think you know your history. Russia effectively won the the second world war in Europe, acquiring the greatest territorial gains of any country while turning the tide in the middle of the conflict. Canada did virtually nothing in comparison, and I say that as a Canadian. The USA bolstered the British and Free French, while effectively winning the Pacific theatre with the help of British and French colonial forces.

@Avatar230594 Not to mention the infamous AK-47, they still use that weapon and its still one of the best ever designed.

I personally think Russia has a pretty shit army in terms of men. You may correct me if Im wrong. But their weapons and tanks. So very cheap yet so very very very reliable. the Kalashkinov has been goin for over 60 yrs. Good weapon and the T series tanks are uncomfortable but they’ll do their job

@CommanderC00L558 All right I haven’t served in the armies and dramatical was my mistake. But honestly don’t think one should see videos of men patrolling proudly in the sound of orchestral music and mighty viechles moving around while the real work is dirty in the dersert. Since you say that I have no say because of I haven’t served in the armies i won’t say anything more. Friends in america are disgusted by their recruitment ads, one of them was in Vietnam but he’s old, otherones have served.

  47. CommanderC00L558
    December 13th, 2010 at 09:51 | #47

@Bonde2002 “Dramatical” <— Fail. No I don’t Agree. Unless you have served in both the U.S army, and the russian army, you have no accurate say. But to me, because America generally makes much better commercials, THIS IS SOME DINKY CORNY ASS SHIT.

  48. Bonde2002
    December 13th, 2010 at 10:41 | #48

Did you see the american recruitment video? That’s like propaganda this is more truth but dramatical. Agree?

@AntiVitaminen Try g00gling Russia’s Life Saver & learn REAL history. The Lend-Lease plan of the USA saved the Red Army’s butt. They may be fierce fighters, and definitely played a major part in defeating the Third Reich. But the German Forces were superior in the Siege of Leningrad with a kill ratio of 10:1. The Russian winter played a huge role in defeating Hitler; just as it had 130 years earlier vs. Napoleon.
