    @iguardcalifornia Why don’t you tell them they can go to a community college where they go in “Ability to Benifit” program. Get their GED and their 15 college credit hours needed to join the military? Only takes 2 months.

    @fireteambrovo 2Shay! I’ve gotten a few kids who ask if they can drop out and join the Guard under this program. Wrong answer! We let them know they have to have dropped out previously by at least 6 months. that turns off quiet a few.

    @iguardcalifornia I was kidding lol
    This video just makes it sound like its a ” good thing ” to drop out of high school. I think it’s a great program for those who have a legitimate reason for dropping out of high school.

    @fireteambrovo I think you did the right thing. You may not have gotten paid but you had the experience and many good memories. For my applicants, this is the only opportunity they get at a second chance in life. The money they’re getting paid to get a GED is nothing compared to a HS grads chances at success and college. Most quit out of necessity, some out of laziness but everyone should be allowed to serve if they desire. Trust me, the course is short but intense and not everyone succeeds.
