Question by ssgmiz: How long does it take to get orders for army recruiting, and what is the likelihhod I’ll get my first choice
Looking to submit my packet, and wondered if orders can come any sooner than the year it says on website. I won’t have any waivers, background is completely clean. Is there a way to speed up the process? I guess I am just eager for a change, but I would really like to be at my new station within 6 months. Is that possible?

most of the time, your orders won’t be cut prior to 90 days of the end of your current duty station. chances that you will get your first pick right off the bat are better these days due to lack of retention in the army. good luck, god speed!

Good Luck! My husband put in his packet and was in school 2 months later. We actually got his first choice for a recruiting station…only too find out three months after he graduated(and we still had no orders) that a DUI he got 9 years ago came up on his background check and that disqualified him. People were getting kicked ut throughout the class for things such as BAD credit! They are allowed to take up to 9 months from the time you graduate until they give you orders. Good luck!
