Question by Hoi w: Has military recruitment become a social problem?
I am writing a research paper about social problem, and I picked military recruitment as my topic. I need some professional (preferably an ex recruiter) opinion and views to outline my essay. Can someone give me some tips about what should i focus on for this topic? thanks.

You should focus on a social problem.. How military recruitment can be viewed at all is a problem is just insanity

    In answer to your question. NO!

    Military service is an honorable way for a young person to move up the socio-economic ladder.

    Recruiters are in our communities to reach out to young people who want to serve our country.

    I fail to see how recruiting is a social problem in any sense.

    How about the self-destructive competitive nature of teenage boys?

    How about the taunting of people who excel academically?

    How about the pressure on young women to look like Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus?

    These are real social problems. If we could get young men to compete in academics instead of consuming alcohol and stupid stunts then we could make real progress. If we could get young women to believe that they are beautiful just they way they are….well, they might take over the world if that happens. Just kidding. You get the idea.

    Recruiting is not a social problem. I think you should pick a better topic or prepare for a low grade.

    Kind of a vague topic…..

    Try the problem of military recruitment at campuses….they let in GE to recruit for their company…..and they sell to Iran which is killing our soldiers…..but WONT let in Army recruiters because the facility objects to war ??????
    They let in companies that build war machines and sell them around the world…..but wont let in military recruiters….. the people who keep them safe and terrorist free
    They indoctrinate students into a way of thinking…..a liberal bias…..but refuse to allow the military to indoctrinate in a conservative bias
    They are supposed to be the bastion of ideas…..a place where you get diverse concepts and learn to make up your own mind based on ALL the information…..but instead they orchestrate what you get…..and manipulate how you think…..and promote a specific agenda
