Q&A: How long does it take for the US Coast Guard to process my recruitment questionnaire?

Question by pcpkid: How long does it take for the US Coast Guard to process my recruitment questionnaire?
I filled out an e-mail USCG recruitment questionnaire and sent it to a recruiter. How long does it take for them to respond?

When they do respond what will they ask me? I want to join the USCG as soon as possible.

It all depends on how fast they got it. Usually you fill it out at their office, before you speak to a recruiter. I have never heard of anyone mailing one. It is a way for the Coast Guard to see if you are even worth the time to speak with. Their is a 6 to 8 month waiting list to even go to boot camp.

Call your recruiting office and ask.

My office can send people as soon as January, so take that 6-8 month wait with a grain of salt.
