Q&A: US Army Recruiting Command office?
Question by me yo: US Army Recruiting Command office?
Is it acceptable for someone to call them about waivers?
Every recruiter I have called has told me to lie about something that I will not lie about.
Something that can be easily waived.
I want to call and ask if they have waivers available or waivers for the fiscal year coming up.

There are always waivers available from the Unit level up the USAREC level. But calling the command will get you no where. It’s not like calling a Walmart and asking if something is on sale. And the type of waiver depends on what you need waivered.
Give your answer to this question below!
Hi Me Yo:
I would like to answer your question, but it is too vague to do so. What waivers are you specifically asking about? There is no such thing as something “that can easily be waived.” Any question on the enlistment contract that requires a waiver will be given carefully scrutiny on whether you are qualified to enlist. On the other hand, the recruiter is also evaluated and checked by his superiors on writing contracts, so don’t look at it in only one aspect that he is trying to get over on you!
Generally speaking, you always want to be truthful in answering all of your questions for joining the military. Recruiters who have been doing the job a long time will eventually learn and know what specific questions if answered truthfully by an applicant can cause you to either be disqualified OR DELAY significantly your approval to join! On that note, some recruiters may entice you to “bend the truth” a little on those questions if you REALLY WANT TO JOIN!
So in a nutshell Me Yo, it all depends on YOU! If you really want to join the military and join as soon as possible, then you will listen to the advice given by your recruiter.
