When does a Recruit receive his/her military id?

Yes, once you sign contract, they’ll give you an ID. It’s not CAC card though.

    when you get to reception at the great lakes. since youre in the DEP program, you can just bring your orders to the nearest military base, go into the office where you get decals and ask for an ID. you need a form of ID yourself though as well as your orders!

    you get your i.d. card when your actually in the navy. the delayed entry doesnt count

    Delayed entry allows you to finish school, then when you go active they subtract the involuntary reserve time from your delay no ID card until you report and are issued in boot camp, then are re-issued when you are promoted each time. reserve is same. P.S. never laugh in front of a drill instructor you’ll be sorry. the secret is to get out with an honorable discharge no matter what. Thank You for your service to our way of life. I did. ask your recuiter.

    If you think a paper card with your photo glued on it counts as an ID then yes.. lol.

    You’ll get it after a couple of days of being in basic, the actual ID.

    you MIGHT get a Temp ID card that allows you limited access to a base.. gym facilities, etc. Not every recruiting district does this.

    Otherwise, not until you report to Great Lakes.
