You will want to be very careful to research any companies or answers that you get to this question. There are many unscrupulous people out there who are making claims to be able to help immigrants (who want to come to Canada) to get jobs in the hotel industry, or as caregivers in private or assisted-care facilities. Most of these are probably scams that originate from criminals who are not even located in Canada.

This is the website for Canadians who are looking to hire an immigrant caregiver. The only way to hire a caregiver from abroad is if there is no Canadian or existing permanent resident available to do this work, and if the caregiver must reside in the residence of the person receiving care.

Here is an example. If I need a caregiver to help my elderly grandmother, and that person needs to be available day or night at a moment’s notice, then I may need a live-in caregiver. Now if my grandmother speaks English or French, I can probably find a caregiver here in Canada to handle the job. But if my grandmother only spoke Polish, perhaps I cannot find someone in Canada who speaks Polish and is available to live with her. In that case, I can go internationally to find a suitable person.

Question by Holly: Anyone know where I can order Army posters?
My husband was in a few Army posters/advertisements for recruiting offices and such. This was years ago {He retires in 5 years} I would like to find them and frame them for him as a surprise for Christmas. Any ideas of places I can look? Thanks!

I am a Military wife,that may not be enlisted but hell…..sometimes I think it maybe easier!
