How long does it take for the military recruiter to schedule an ASVAB test?




Question by isabow27: How long does it take for the military recruiter to schedule an ASVAB test?
My son is going in the military but his recruiter keeps putting off the scheduling of his ASVAB. I know, for me, it didn’t take but about a week but with my son, it’s been several weeks now. Any recruiters out there who can advise me? (Army or Air Force). Any one word comments or comments in violation of community guidelines will be reported. I only want serious responses, please.

Techincally, the military recruiter doesn’t schedule the test. Rather, the student can signup himself (just like the ACT or SAT). Ask his school counseler for a schedule on the ASVAB tests, i think they’re given monthly.

Recruiters from the Mechanicsburg RS hosted an Educator’s Breakfast Sept. 30 at the Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill, Pa. This breakfast was a part of the weeklong events of the Harrisburg Battalion’s Army Rivalry Tour for the football game Red Land at Cedar Cliff on Oct. Army Rivalry Tour provides local recruiting stations with leads, and develops and cultivates espirt de corps within the school’s student body and staff. It also gives the community an added motivation to attend the game to support their high school’s football team. It can also provide recruiters the opportunity to recognize the weekly winners of the battalion-sponsored Army Iron Man and Army Coach Competitions. Food for this breakfast was provided by the Crimson Frog in New Cumberland, Pa. U.S. Army photo by Christine June.

Military Spouse magazine announced the five military service branch winners for its 2011 Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year award, and Bianca Strzalkowski, the wife of Gunnery Sgt. Ronald Strzalkowski, is representing the Marine Corps as the top Marine spouse.
