What do army recruiters usually wear?
Question by Swtbttrfly: What do army recruiters usually wear?
I’m designing costumes for a short film, and one of the characters is an army recruiter. I want to know what exactly that entails–what rank are recruiters? Do they wear full military uniform in the recruiting office? What, if anything, sets them apart as recruiters, and not as soldiers?
FYI, I DO understand that they are soldiers, but what I am wondering is what sets them apart from the other soldiers in terms of uniform. I know that they typically have already gone through some type of service, etc, but I am wondering what sets them apart.

Many recruiters are sergeants, but not all of them.
They wear regular military uniforms, with a recruiters badge.

What do you think? Answer below!
They are soldiers regarless of what their job is. They can be in rank from SGT to MSG. The wear the same uniforms as all other soldiers only they wear the dress uniform more than the utility uniform.
Mine usually wore a Class B uniform because they are out in the public. Class B is the short-sleeve dress shirt, pants, and low-quarters. They will wear Class A uniforms to your graduation which is the coat with the medals and insignia and a tie. On the weekends they will interact with troops on DEP in civilian clothes-jacket, polo, jeans, tennis shoes.
Typically, recruiters are E-5 (buck sergeant) and above.
Soldiers usually work on the post and wear BDU’s (Battle Dress Uniform) and combat boots and train as units for combat objectives. They maintain equipment, train for missions, get inspected, etc. The recruiter works offpost in an office and deals with the public regularly to recruit.
they wear dress uniforms that are current for the branch of service.
SHEEP’S CLOTHING….
So I post the one true answer here and I get so many bad ratings…..
The recruiter’s station nearest to me, ALL wear ACUs.
the ones by me wear acus
Hate to break this to you: Army recruiters ARE soldiers, in the rank of Sergeant (E-5) through Sergeant First Class (E-7). They wear the uniforms typical of the soldier: Service Dress (green Class A–w/coat or B–w/o coat); Dress Blue (formal occasions); and Battle Dress (BDU) (Woodland-pattern camouflage) or, in a few cases, the new Army Combat Uniform (ACU), in digital prints keyed to the operational area. To this they add the Recuriter badge in silver or gold, metal for service and dress uniforms and cloth for the BDU and ACU.
US Military Recruiters wear Military Class A or dress uniforms and sometimes they wear combat uniforms for special occasions. They wear full military uniforms in the office and when speaking to a group of people inquiring about military life.
There is nothing that sets US Military Recruiters apart from Regular Soldiers, US Navy personnel, US Marines and US Air Force personnel!!
The Army recruitors I know usually wear ther fatuqies(or camo’s) to their office….. there is 9 in their office and most are ranks of STaff sgt and Sgt First Class….. There is one who isnt a Sgt he is a Corporal…….what sets them apart from soliders–they all are soliders regardless—- call and talk to your local recruiting office and get info about the ranks and what not….good luck
