Question by Dylan: Would it be ok to go to the Army recruiting office at age 16?
I would like to know if they would get mad at me for going there when i’m only 16 and a Junior although my parents said they would give me consent to join when i turn 17 on June 7.
I just want to know if they would get mad. I know i can’t do anything until I actually turn 17. I just mean can I talk to them about the process I’d be going through and things of that nature.

you can’t do anything without consent…so until you turn 18 or your parents consent, leave the recruiters alone…don’t be a stalker…they don’t let stalkers into the military

Yes. They can talk with you, but can’t do any processing whatsoever even with parental consent. That’s of course unless your 17. You can ask questions still, and talk about MOS’s and college.
They don’t care about what age you are, if you want to become a future soldier then they will gladly talk with you and answer any question.
Also earlier i said No, but changed it to yes. I read the question wrong so sorry for that.
Wait nvm, lol i must have answer no for them getting mad so i guess i was right. But the yes is for your main question being would it be ok. AHHHHH confusion, jkjkjkjk!
They wont be mad, the recruiter will give you a little bit of information to get you started and send you on your way until you turn 17.
If you are really interested in learning as much as possible about being in the Army, then sure hang out at the recruiting office, but be helpful. Ask if they can use your help around the office. Ask if you can come to the weekly/monthly pre-bootcamp meetings. Some recruiting offices have a rather active pre-bootcamp corps that would be beneficial to join. But as most people have pointed out, you can’t sign a contract with parental consent until 17. Other things that affect your desirability to the Army are physical fitness and HS diploma status. Not to dissuade you from learning about the Army, but these are things you can work on right now.
But more importantly f||ck FB.
No, they don’t mind. That’s what they are there for…to give information.
