Question by blonde: Would you be a Recruitment Consultant for a private company?
Iv been offered a job as a Recruitment Consultant but im unsure whether to take it. I currently work for the Home Office and its a secure job but its not very challenging. I need a job with targets and motivation. Could someone please explain the role to me and what i would be doing? Also, what would be my OTE realistically?

I was a recruitment consultant for 2 years, having worked in sales for ages. i left and im so glad i did.

It sucked. it’s very high pressure and long hours. If you work for the Home office, that is a secure job. Recruitment is not – if you don’t perform, you are out. and then have no job.

OTE, people will tell you crap. just to get you to take the job.

Trust me, stay away! there are better jobs out there.
